"I have tried to make a case like this many times with my 3D printer, but it didn’t work. The prints needed some tweaking, but reprinting took hours and hours until I gave up. I couldn’t make it out of wood, because I live in an apartment. I didn’t want to create a little dust from the saw. Using cardboard was a great idea. Why didn’t I think of it before? I used a ready-made square box pattern from a book. Although the book didn’t have a ready-made shelf pattern I wanted, the techniques for using tools, corners, and leaving room for cutting helped me cut down on the design time. The techniques in the book helped me to make the design look surprisingly neat."
